Set of Six “Lagos” Chairs by Pozzi, Italy, 1970s

Exceptional set of six dining chairs in black lacquered metal and leather, dating from the 1970s. The chairs remain in excellent vintage condition, showcasing their sleek lines and refined craftsmanship.

While some sources on 1stDibs attribute this design to Pierre Cardin, the seller reports that the chairs were originally purchased from the Italian manufacturer Pozzi, and the model is known as Lagos.

Unfortunately, no official documentation identifies the designer of this specific model. It may have been created by Pierluigi Molinari or Augusto Savini, both of whom collaborated with Pozzi during the same period. The resemblance to Augusto Savini’s Pamplona chair is unmistakable, visible in both the sculptural frame and the modernist aesthetic.

A striking and rare addition to any mid-century or Italian modern interior.
Please note: The chairs are only sold as a set of six.
