A rare and elegant pair of wall sconces designed by Angelo Lelii for Arredoluce, dating back to the 1950s. These pieces exemplify the refined balance of form and function that defined Italian mid-century design.
Crafted from polished brass, the sconces feature a gently curved rectangular backplate with a crown-like perforated edge — a hallmark of Lelii’s sculptural language. The curved brass arm supports an enameled tin socket, newly lacquered in white. Inside, a second brass socket is adorned with a decorative ceramic crown, showcasing Lelii’s attention to material contrast and detail. Professionally restored: rewired for contemporary use, polished to a mirror finish, and the sockets freshly lacquered. Each sconce is operated via an inline push-button switch, making them ideal for plug-in use or installations that do not require hardwiring. These sconces are perfect for adding a sophisticated accent to any interior, whether classic or modern, and are a testament to Lelii’s poetic approach to lighting.
