Ettore Sottsass

Ettore Sottsass (Innsbruck, 1917 – Milan, 2007) was an Italian architect, designer, and artist, a leading figure in 20th-century design. Founder of the Memphis movement in the 1980s, he created iconic furniture, lamps, objects, and interiors. He collaborated with companies such as Olivetti, Alessi, Poltronova, and Memphis. His work combines color, experimentation, and functionality, becoming an international reference for postmodern design.
