Designer Biography
Born in Murano in 1909, Archimede Seguso is regarded as one of the greatest glass masters of the twentieth century. Raised in a historic family of glass artisans, he continued a centuries-old tradition that he reinterpreted with extraordinary modern sensitivity. His artistic research is distinguished by the elegance of form, the lightness of the material, and constant technical experimentation. Through sculptures, vases, and luminous compositions, Seguso renewed the language of Murano glass, moving beyond traditional decoration toward an authentically sculptural dimension. His creations entered some of the most prestigious international collections. His work remains a symbol of the excellence of Venetian glass throughout the world.
