Ernesto Gismondi

Ernesto Gismondi (San Lorenzo in Campo, 1931 – 2020) was an Italian engineer, designer, and entrepreneur, founder of Artemide, a leading design lighting company. Trained in aerospace engineering, he combined technical expertise with creativity, collaborating with renowned designers such as Sergio Asti, Michele De Lucchi, and Giancarlo Fassina. His lamps became contemporary design icons and won multiple international awards.
