Artemide

Artemide was founded in 1960 in Milan by Ernesto Gismondi and Sergio Mazza. From the beginning, the company focused on the design and production of high-quality lighting, quickly becoming an international reference in the field.

During the 1960s, Artemide gained recognition through collaborations with leading designers such as Vico Magistretti, strengthening its position in contemporary design. Over time, the company developed a strong identity based on technological research, innovation, and a focus on light quality.

In the 1970s and 1980s, Artemide expanded globally thanks to iconic products such as the “Tizio” lamp by Richard Sapper and the “Tolomeo” lamp by Michele De Lucchi and Giancarlo Fassina.

Today, Artemide is one of the world’s leading lighting design brands, known for its “human light” philosophy and continuous innovation.
